Unenroll Your Devices
To Stop Receiving Public Betas
When your device is enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program, you will automatically receive new versions of the public beta. At any time, you may unenroll your device so that it no longer receives these updates.
Open Software Update in System Settings
Launch System Settings, and select General and choose Software Update.
Remove macOS public beta updates
For Mac computers running macOS Ventura 13.4 or later:
To stop receiving public betas, click the "Info" button next to "Beta updates" and then choose "Off".
For Mac computers running macOS Ventura 13.3 or earlier:
To stop receiving public betas, click the "Details…" button next to "This Mac is enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program." A dialog will appear asking if you would like to restore your default update settings. Choose "Restore Defaults".
Install the next version of macOS
When the next commercial version of macOS is released, you can install it from Software Update.
How do I restore a prior release of macOS?
To go back to a prior release of macOS, you can follow the steps here:
Remove iOS public beta updates
For devices running iOS 16.4 or later:
To stop receiving public betas, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and tap "Off" from the list of options.
For devices running iOS 16.3 or earlier:
Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and tap the iOS & iPadOS Beta Software Profile that appears.
Tap Remove Profile. If asked, enter your device passcode, then tap Remove. Once the profile is deleted, your device will no longer receive iOS public betas.
Install the next version of iOS
When the next commercial version of iOS is released, you can install it from Software Update.
How do I restore to a prior release?
To go back to a prior release, you can restore your iOS device from the backup that you created before installing the public beta.
Remove iPadOS public beta updates
For devices running iPadOS 16.4 or later:
To stop receiving public betas, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and tap "Off" from the list of options.
For devices running iPadOS 16.3 or earlier:
Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and tap the iOS & iPadOS Beta Software Profile that appears.

Wait for next tvOS release
Once your setting has changed, your Apple TV will no longer receive tvOS public betas. When the next commercial version of tvOS is released, it will automatically install if you have Automatic Software Update turned on. Or, you can install it from Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.
Remove the watchOS Beta Software Profile
To stop receiving the watchOS public betas, go to the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then go to General > Profiles and tap the watchOS Beta Software Profile that appears. Tap Remove Profile. If asked, enter your device passcode, then tap Remove. Once the profile is deleted, your Apple Watch device will no longer receive watchOS public betas.
Wait for next watchOS release
When the next commercial version of watchOS is released, it will automatically install if you have Automatic Software Update turned on. Or, you can manually check for updates by going to the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone, tapping the My Watch tab, then going to General > Software Update.
Launch Home App
To stop receiving HomePod public betas, go to the Home App > Home Settings > Software Updates > Beta Updates and unenroll the HomePod mini or HomePod (2nd generation) you no longer want on the Beta program.
Wait for next HomePod Software release
Once your setting has changed, your HomePod mini or HomePod (2nd generation) will no longer receive HomePod software. When the next version of HomePod software is released, it will automatically install if you have Automatic Software Update turned on. Or, you can install it from HomeApp > Home Settings > Software Updates > Update Software.
How do I leave the program?
To leave the Apple Beta Software Program, you must first sign in, then click the Leave Program link. If you leave, you will stop receiving emails about the Apple Beta Software Program and will no longer be able to submit feedback with Feedback Assistant.
